May 21, 2014 KISATCHIE LA

Today was a long drive for us. We left Pensacola Beach at 4:30 AM and got to Kisatchie National Park in Louisiana at 2 PM. It is close to Minden and on a small lake. The campground is run by the US government so you know it is well ran:)  Actually, it is pretty nice, the air is cool and the breeze feels soft.

Tweety is happy with his site and tired of all that travel. He is sitting on a hill overlooking the lake. Reminds me a lot of the area that Jim and Cathy Rosenbalm live in Kentucky.
The picnic area has a beach that you can swim, but we are too tired for that.
They have an area where  you can water ski. We did not see any today, but we did see some fishing boats.
Another nice view of the lake. The internet connection is not great here, it took an hour to download the pictures. We will stay another night.  I am sitting outside and the frogs just started and you can here them talk down  at the lake. Hope this noise does not go on all night. Hey they stopped already.
