May 16, 2014- FT DE SOTO DAY 2

What a better way to start your day than to appreciate where we live. I ran this morning, it was cool and windy.
We sat on a bench looking at the boat ramps. There were 22 ramps and I always said that I could sit and watch people launch their boats all day because of the blunders that they do.
As you can see there is not much happening at the 22 ramps, so we move on toward the main land.

We rode our bikes about 6 miles and came to Billys, sounded good and margarita's 1.99

They filmed "Summer Rental" movie at Billy's. If you have never seen that movie go find it and expect to laugh a lot.

I am putting this picture in for our friend Ed. He loves trimarans and this one is very unusual. I was like a regular boat with two large outriggers. One of the outriggers had two dock boxes on it. It's home port was Ann Arbor, Michigan.

This is the campground. You can see how it is an island. Other parks  should use this place as a model. They are sold out almost all of the time.

The sign says it all. Isn't great what you can make people think.

The beach is very nice, but we had very high winds and rip tides. So there was no swimming for us.
It was nice to see that the Flamingo's are around and they reserved  a shelter.
